
Sebangau Park Orangutan Wildlife
South of Palangkaraya, Sebangau National Park is centered on a river by the same name, which is black from decaying plant material. The park which was Established in 2004 as a sustainable forest project with support for eco-tourism is an important research area for its large population of orangutans and agile gibbons, and other wildlife. The Park while not far located from Palangkaraya, is not easy to reach, and need some expertise. The WWF have build accommodation facilities for research which can be used for visitors to contribute the eco-tourism development of the Park in the near future.
