Hornbills can be seen. Also the last Fresh Water Dolphins, Cascade from
East
Kalimantans Mahakam River big lakes. The Cross Borneo expedition trip
lead you to an unhabitat Virgin cloud forest of the
Muller
Mountains to the West Kalimantan, Kapuas River at the other end of
Indonesian Borneo Island.
The
Cross Borneo Tour need some patient, as you will cruise upstream the
Mahakam river for almost 900km, crossing the rapids, into the deep
heart of Borneo, it will bring you not only an adventure experience but
will have a
cultural experience, by staying in the most remote Dayak
Villages, in their longhouses, in the
hinterland of Kalimantan. These
indigenous Dayak settlements along the Rivers of Kalimantan is
the ideal way to learn the incredible culture and the traditions, of
medicines, nature and animism beliefs, you will catch the heavy
ear adornments,
wooden statutes
and body
tattoos, while we are be warmly
welcomed guests in their traditional longhouses of the former
headhunters, now living from hunting their meals in the rain forest.

BORNEO EXPEDITION TOUR ( over land
)
Tour Package Duration 17 Days / 16 Nights
Day 01:
BALIKPAPAN, SAMARINDA (LD)
Arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and transfer by car to
Samarinda and check in at hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day
02 to Day 04: SAMARINDA, MAHAKAM RIVER (BLD)
After breakfast transfer to harbor for boarding boat to cruise up
Mahakam River. Meals and overnight on boat.

Day
05: LONG BAGUN, RAPIDS, TIONG OHANG (BLD)
After simple breakfast full day adventure trip by long boat through
amazing rapids between the high rocks. Meals provided enroute and
overnight at long house.
Day
06 until Day 13: TIONG OHANG, UP RIVER, TREK (BLD)
After simple breakfast continue the trip by motor canoe till the end of
the Mahakam River, from where we will continue trekking approximately 3
- 5 hours a day through primary rain forest and crossing the Muller
Mountain. During the trip we will fish, and exploring the jungle. Meals
provided enroute and overnight in jungle camp.
Day
14: TANJUNG LOKAN, PUTUSIBAU (BLD)
In the morning after breakfast, full day trip downstream on Bongan
River by long boat to Putusibau. Enroute you will pass rapids. Meals
provide enroute & overnight at Long House.
Day
15 to Day 16: PUTUSIBAU, SINTANG, PONTIANAK (BLD)
In the morning sightseeing in town, afterwards by bus drive to Sintang
for overnight, the next day continue the trip by bus to Pontianak, the
capital of West Kalimantan. Meal provided & overnight at hotel.

17: PONTIANAK, DEPARTURE (B)
Free
at leisure until departure time of next flight for your next
destination.
