Kayan River Highway
The Kayan River spring is found in the Apokayan area near Malaysian border, and stream down about 800km to finds it way at Tanjung Selor city into the Sulawesi sea.
The Kayan River has many rapids, the first 250km from teh spring in the Apoakayan area, it is un-accessable even for experienced kayakers with the scale of 6 of dangerous rapids. Even the lower part of the Kayan River have rapids that are adventures. To visit the Kayan Mentarang Park, one has to be adventures, be patient, and be able to expect the unexpected
