8 DAYS MERATUS MOUNTAIN TOP JUNGLE ADVENTURE

Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN (D)
Upon your arrival at Banjarmasin airport, your tour guide will meet you at the airport terminal for transfer to the hotel, check in. Afternoon a sightseeing tour by canoe cruise through the canals exploring Banjarese river life. Dinner at local restaurant before return to hotel for overnight, evening free at own leisure.
Day 02: BANJARMASIN, MERATUS MOUNTAIN (BLD)
Early in the morning, we sail by klotok boat the Barito River to the floating market as an unique culture of Banjarese people who trade commodities from boat to boat, return to hotel for breakfast, and make us up to start the adventure by car transfer to Kiyo village, which mark the start point of our trekking into Meratus Mountain. Today we make our path through the hilly forest and shifting cultivation. Lunch and dinner will be served en route, overnight in bivouac tent.
Day 03: DATAR ALAI, JUMANTIR (BLD)
Guide will prepare simple breakfast, and continue our jungle trek to Sungai Karuh waterfall while animals could cross our trails. In the afternoon we reach Jumantir Dayak settlement surrounded in dense primary forest. In the evening, we could learn to hunt and make animal traps with the locals. Lunch and dinner will be served en route, overnight in bivouac camp at the river bank.
Day 04: JUMANTIR, MOUNT BESAR PEAK (BLD)
After breakfast, we will trek the steep jungle mossy trails below towering trees and wild orchids species to the peak of mount Besar, as the roof of South Kalimantan, with a beautiful panorama over the roof of Borneo emerald rain forest. Lunch and dinner prepared by your guide en route, overnight in bivouac tent at the mountain peak.
Day 05: MOUNT BESAR, KATUAN (BLD)
Breakfast with a beautiful sun-rise and cloud forming view, packing our stuff, for the off the beaten track passing the rain forest valleys and slopes to Katuan hill, where we build our camp site for the night. Lunch and dinner will be served en route, overnight in jungle camp at the river bank.
Day 06: KATUAN, HARATAI (BLD)
Simple breakfast, trek the primary forest trails to Haratai Waterfall, from where we can follow the village path to Haratai settlement. Lunch served en route, dinner and overnight in the Dayak longhouse.
Day 07: HARATAI, BAMBOO RAFTING, BANJARMASIN (BLD)
Trekking down hill to the Amandit River for an adventures Bamboo Raft trip downstream passing tropical forest landscape for about 2 hours to Muara Hatip Loksado, where the car await us for the drive to Banjarmasin. On the way visit Cempaka district where locals traditionally penny the muddy surface by small open pit mines in search for luck to get some materials of gem stones and raw diamonds, overnight in hotel in Banjarmasin.
Day 08: BANJARMASIN DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free at own leisure until transfer time to Banjarmasin airport for your flight to your next holiday destination.
