7 Days Pygmy Elephant Borneo
The Borneo Pygmy Elephant can be found in the northern eastern part of Kalimantan Island, which is located in Indonesia. Sembakung area, which covers a 400.000 hectares of diverse eco-systems as low-land rainforest, Montane forest, wetlands, and swamp forest. These elephants are native to both Asia and Africa, but there are some differences between the populations in these regions. Specifically, the Borneo Pygmy Elephant lives in the tropical rainforests of northern Borneo, which includes the state of Sabah. It is important to note that this species was traditionally known as the Asian Elephant, although it is now recognized as a distinct subspecies.

From there, continue your journey further downstream along the Kayan River, leading you to the coastal areas of East Kalimantan. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit and learn about the traditional Dayak Kenyah and Kayan tribes.
