Loksado at the foot of the Meratus Mountain
Loksado is a beautiful spot for nature lovers located on a plateau within the Meratus mountains, in the Hulu Sungai Selatan regency. It is situated approximately 165 kilometers away from Banjarmasin and about 40 kilometers east of Kandangan.
Visitors who come to Loksado can experience the best of nature in a peaceful and serene environment. The Meratus mountains are largely covered with thick rainforests, and there are several pathways that allow easy access through the area. These trek paths take travelers through the heart of the landscape and past the traditional villages of the local Dayak people.
Surrounding Loksado, there are 20 traditional local houses.
Each of these houses is quite large, measuring about 30 meters by 40 meters. These homes are typically occupied by ten families, which means they can comfortably house up to 120 people.
