Labuan Cermin lake Berau
Lake Labuan Cermin, located in the Berau district of East Kalimantan, is a truly remarkable body of water known for its incredibly clear and mirror-like surface. What makes this lake unique is that it contains two distinct layers of water—freshwater on top and saltwater at the bottom. This unusual feature allows both fresh river fish and marine species to coexist within the same lake, making it a one-of-a-kind natural wonder.
The lake itself covers an area of approximately one hectare and is beautifully enclosed by dense jungle.
The pristine, crystal-clear blue water is a result of a special ecosystem that has developed over time, allowing for easy visibility of the underwater life from a boat. Because of its clarity and unique characteristics, Lake Labuan Cermin is an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling, offering visitors a chance to experience the stunning beauty of nature up close.
