Samboja Lodge
Samboja Lestari Park and Reserve, which includes a rainforest and an orangutan rehabilitation center named Wanariset, is approximately one hour away from Balipapan city, serving as the main entry point to East Kalimantan. Samboja Sungai Wain Park is where Samboja Lodge is located, and it is part of BOSF, the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation. The lodge manages three different projects: rehabilitating orangutans and sunbears until they can be released back into the wild, reforestation of the area, and operating an ecolodge called Samboja Ecolodge.
The lodge has a total of 26 rooms, including standard rooms, deluxe rooms, and suite rooms with air conditioning, two suite rooms with air conditioning and hot water showers, and two treetop suites that offer fantastic views along with air conditioning and hot water showers.
The lodge also features a large viewing area to enjoy the jungle, a lobby, a restaurant, laundry services, kitchen facilities, and an area with internet access.
