Long Bagun Dayak Culture & Rain Forest
Long Bagun serves as a key transit point before the rapids of the Mahakam River. It is the final stop for regular passenger boats, but nowadays, these boats do not run daily to Long Bagun. Instead, they now rely more on cargo boats to reach this location. Past Long Bagun, the scenery opens up into a wide expanse of dense jungle, where you can experience the authentic Dayak culture. Several villages, such as Tiong Ohang, Long Pahangai, and Long Apari, are located in this area. These communities continue to live in harmony with their natural surroundings, preserving their traditions and way of life.
