Lestari National Park & Reserve with Rain Forest and Orangutan
Rehabilitation Center "Wanariset" is about a
hour drive from Balipapan city as the main Gateway to East Kalimantan.
Samboja
Sungai Wain National Park is the location of Samboja Lodge
as part of BOS
(The Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation), handling three different
kinds of projects; orangutan and sunbear rehabilitation, till release
back into their natural habitat, reforestation of the area with
hardwood trees, and now also an ecolodge called "Samboja
Ecolodge".
The
Lodge has in total 26 rooms completed, 22 standard with
Airconditioning, Two Suite Rooms with Airconditioning and hot water
shower and 2 treetops suites, with fantastic view, and offcourse
Airconditioning and hot water shower.
The
Lodge is completed with a towering area to oversea the Jungle area, a
Lobby and a Restaurant, laundry service and kitchen facilites,
including an
Internet access area.

Upon
arrival at
Balikpapan airport, meeting service and transfer to Samboja Lestari
National Park, While Entering, we pass the Rain Forest over the muddy
road with our 4 wheel drive car. After Check in at The
Samboja Lodge we take a look from the Tower to have a overview
of the National Park Samboja. Afterwards trekking the forest to see the
Orangutans and Sun-bears in their rehabiliation process back in the
wild. Lunch and Dinner at Samboja Eco Lodge.

01:

Breakfast one of the treks around Samboja Lestari National Park, you
can choose of Sungai Wain Jungle Safari, with Wild Life and Rain
Forest, Or Bukit Bangkirai where we can find several species
of hard wooden trees and a Tree Top Hanging Bridge with a
beautifull View over Kalimantan 's Hills filled with emerald Jungle.
Dinner and Overnight at Samboja Lodge.

SAMBOJA LESTARI RESERVE, BALIKPAPAN

After
Breakfast free time to trek through the jungle of Samboja Lestari
National Park. Untill departure time to Balikpapan Airport for your

Orangutan in Malay language means "human of the forest". The
Orangutan 's population is
